Saint Lucia: Meet Kenny, new member of HelpAWS family

Castries, Saint Lucia: The dog shelter of Castries, HelpAWS, introduced a newly added pup, Kenny. While introducing the little fur baby, the organisation noted, “Have you been searching for that “special someone” to share life’s moments with, the peanut to your butter, the blue in your sky, the flip to your flop? Our boy Kenny is all that and more!”

The post by the organisation noted that Kenny and his siblings were brought to the organisation in the back of a pick-up. A normal story on the island, his owners failed to care for the pups. Kenny quickly won our hearts with his happy, playful personality.

It informed, “Right before Kenny left for Canada, one of his eyes developed a blue haze. Our vet has since seen him at Guelph Animal Hospital, and she believes the colour change was caused by an ulcer which has healed. There was no infection, and the condition does not require any ongoing medication. The blue spot should shrink over time, but it does not appear to impact his vision or cause discomfort.”

It furthermore informed that Kenny has been in Canada with his foster family for over a week, and the organisation continue to receive rave reviews! He’s sleeping soundly in his crate all night long, including naps! He briefly shared his home with a senior dog, and although he would have loved to wrestle and play, he quickly figured out she wasn’t interested and was very respectful, giving her the space she wanted. He would do well with a doggy friend to live with, but he’s a “go-with-the-flow” kind of puppy, so he would also be happy as the only pup in a home. He’s excellent with kids and loves to play with them and snuggle when he’s ready to rest. He has been doing well with going outside to potty, too! He is the most endearing, sweet little bean who loves to be held and fall asleep in your arms. He has even mastered “sit” and “stay” commands. The foster told HelpAWS, “He’s small but mighty! We really think he’s so special.”
