Saint Lucia celebrates Productivity Awareness Week
Saint Lucia observed Productivity Awareness Week and gave opportunity to numerous entrepreneurs.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The National Competitiveness and Productivity Council (NCPC) of Saint Lucia observed its 10th Anniversary during the Productivity Awareness Week under the theme, “Journey to Excellence: Leveraging Opportunities for Collective Advancement.”
The event was celebrated from October 9- October 13, 2023.
The theme of this year was initiated to observe the collaboration of the NCPC to stimulate public or private sector dialogue.
The event of Productivity Awareness Week is celebrated every year to mark the issues or obstacles of competitiveness and productivity which affect Saint Lucia.
Activities of Productivity Awareness Week 2023:
Lisa Florent-Montoute- Director of the NCPC, highlighted few of the activities for Productivity Awareness Week, 2023, such as:
- Showcased Productivity Measurement Tool
- Collateral Registry
- Staff recognition activity (recognizing past councils and staff who contributed in 10 years of this journey)
The Ministry of Education showcased its gratitude to collaborate with the National Competitiveness and Productivity Council as the Productivity Week featured an enthralling Spelling Bee Competition in the midst of 3 students from numerous secondary schools on the island.
The prime focus of the Productivity Awareness Week:
Ag. Curriculum Officer for English- Jennifer Raphael, along with a member of the planning committee, highlighted that the prime focus of this event is on accounts, principles of business and economics.
She expressed her joy as the event would bring a great opportunity for the teenager to have fun and learn vocabulary at the same time.
At the Finance Administrative Centre, The National Competitiveness and Productivity Council clutched a business expo.
The Youth Economy Agency of Saint Lucia shows appreciation to NCPC for giving them an opportunity to engage desired entrepreneurs as a part of the Zafe D’ Exposition and for allowing their clients to demonstrate their services and products.

The Productivity Awareness Week works towards boosting the importance and need of competitiveness and productivity to Caribbean national growth and economic development.
The prime targets of this week-long campaign are:
- Civil Society Organisations
- Public Sectors
- Private sectors
- General Public
The activities are organized to strengthen awareness and encourage people to build ideas which can support the productivity of their region.
