PM Terrane Drew hosts annual back-to-school fair, interacts with children and parents
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew hosted the annual back-to-school fair on Sunday ahead of new academic year. He guided the youth of the country, paving the way for a better and prosperous nation.

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew hosted the annual back-to-school fair on Sunday ahead of new academic year. He guided the youth of the country, paving the way for a better and prosperous nation.
This annual back-to-fair was conducted for the students in Constituency #8 which played a huge role in bringing together several families ahead of the new academic year 2024-25.
During the fair, Prime Minister Terrance Drew spent time with students and their parents and held significant discussions on education and its essential impact on enhancing the quality lifestyle and standard of living of the person.
While sharing the glimpses of his meeting with students and their parents, he called it “a productive day” where he had an interactive discussion, hosted several exciting activities for the children and offered them a treat with the delicious and their favourite food items.
During the fair, the Prime Minister accompanied children in their games, took pictures, distributed school supplies, offering all the family members with a plethora of experiences. He motivated all the students to be kind to each other, to respect their teachers and to do their best, as they head into the new school year.
PM Terrance Drew also extended gratitude to all those who were involved in ensuring the success of the annual back-to-school fair. He stated that such fairs play a huge role in building a sense of community and an excellent place to engage with children.
He stated that it is also a great way to ensure the parents of the children about the measures that the schools are taking for the development of their children by bringing innovations in their teaching style.
He aims to prioritize the future of the nation by educating the young minds and directing them towards better and right future.
Moreover, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley also promised to fill this year with several opportunities for growth, learning, and development. He stated that it is with great enthusiasm and optimism that they welcome all the students back to school.
The education minister added that they are committed to providing a nurturing and conducive environment for education remains steadfast, and they are excited to see what the new school year holds for each of the student.
He added that the 2024-2025 academic year will be filled with multiple opportunities for all of them to showcase their talents, creativity, and academic ability. He asserted that an educator wants all the students to dream big, work hard, and stay focused, knowing what can make a difference in the federation and the world.
Minister Hanley stated that they are working together to create a positive and productive learning environment. And, in that all the students, teachers, and parents all have a role to play in the success of the education system of the country.
Notably, the government of St Kitts and Nevis has been continuously taking several initiatives with a vision to provide a peaceful and exciting teaching and learning environment for both students and teachers.
