PM Skerrit assures Calibishie Villagers, addresses School construction concerns
Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of Dominica expressed his pleasure on getting positive results after having a meeting with the villagers of Calibishie on Wednesday. The meeting aimed at addressing the concerns about construction plans for the new primary school.

Roseau, Dominica: Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of Dominica, expressed his pleasure on getting positive results after having a meeting with the villagers of Calibishie on Wednesday. The meeting aimed at addressing the concerns about construction plans for the new primary school.
The Prime Minister even highlighted that after consulting with the people of Calibishie, the authorities will proceed with the plans which were proposed for the constructiom. The government also assured that the extension of the playing field and farm access road, as these are located behind the property and are being rebuilt.
Considerably, the Government of Dominica then will also move to acquire additional lands for the playing field extension. The authorities will maintain open communication with Calibishie residents during this process. The government has even promised to ensure that the children can quickly access learning in a safe and sound environment in their own community.
The Prime Minister also shared some of the glimpses from his visit to the Calibishie village.
The Government’s concept of open communication with the residents of Calibishie village is one of the unique ways which would surely bring a positive change, one of the citizens even expressed the pleasure for the same.
“This I have never seen before open communication with residents. It only takes a leader with vision to do this. Labour will always be the best choice,” quoted the netizen.
By stating such a statement, the general public revealed their pleasure and satisfaction with the work being done by the government.
Probing ahead, recently, the Government also announced the construction phase of Thibaud Primary School. Such a construction phase was announced with the collaboration of the People’s Republic of China.
The Thibaud Primary School is one of the six schools which are to be constructed under the China Aid Project for the reconstruction of schools post-hurricane.
