The Government administrating St Kitts and Nevis have been making every possible attempt to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in their federations of St Kitts and Nevis. The Government has done every possible step in the country to safeguard their people by implementing the strict COVID-19 rules, and also they introduced much relief packaged for those who have been badly impacted due to the fall of COVID-19.

PM Urged the citizens to obey the COVID-19 protocols that the country has been imposing on them. These measures have been made to protect them from the virus. PM Dr Timothy Harris said that the Government has been taking every single step to safeguarding its people and mitigating the effects of COVID-19. Still, it would not be possible only without the support of their public. Prime Minister Harris stated that the reality has been that no government, no matter how well-staffed, well equipped or well-financed, could by itself fully protect them.

It must be a partnership. We, the citizens and residents, along with our Government, have to continue demonstrating that sense of shared responsibility of which I often speak, and that we have exhibited in the past. My Government is doing its part. We need every citizen and resident to do his or her part in this continuing all-of-society approach.

PM Dr Harris added that The stimulus, the easing of restrictions, and the established COVID-19 protocols have been testament to them Government doing its part. It has been for the institutions and businesses, large and small, to adopt and ensure that these protocols have been continually and correctly complied with at their places of business. It has been important for their citizens and residents to abide by those protocols. That has been the tripartite effort, moving together to a common goal that would get them soonest to a new state of normalcy.
