The reward is intended to encourage people with such information to come forward to report, hence assist the police in their investigation. This is a fast way of getting the offenders to court and to provide the next of kin and the society with justice.

The police have appealed for anyone with information or anyone who witnessed the incident at the time of the offence to lay their complaint at the helpdesks.
