Must Read: COVID-19 vaccines to be administered at 6 sites

Barbados: According to the statics shared by the National Vaccination Programme, around 70.5 percent of the eligible population of the country has been partially vaccinated against the deadly virus – COVID-19. The total percentage of fully vaccinated persons is 55.7 percent of the total population or 66.1 percent of the eligible population.

To keep this vaccination pace steady, the immunization unit shares an update on the vaccine schedule. On March 29, the vaccines against COVID-19 will be available at six (6) vaccination sites and polyclinic.

As per the immunization unit, the locations and times where vaccines would be available today are–

1.) Location – Branford Taitt Polyclinic at Black Rock, St Michael and Time – 9:30 am to 3:00 pm
2.) Location – Harbour Industrial Park (Building No. 2), St Michael and Time – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
3.) Location – Winston Scott Polyclinic at Jemmotts Lane, St Michael and Time – 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
4.) Location – Glebe Polyclinic at The Glebe, St George and Time – 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
5.) Location – Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic at Wildey, St Michael and Time – 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
6.) Location – Eunice Gibson Polyclinic at Warrens, St Michael and Time – 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm

The Barbadian authority administers four vaccines against COVID-19. These vaccines are – AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm and Johnson & Johnson. As per the notifications by the health ministry, the vaccines will be available at the polyclinics and vaccination centres at the scheduled times only.

The health ministry has further informed that the persons who want to receive the first dose must carry their identification card, and for the administration of the second jab, individuals must have the blue vaccination card, and the person interested in receiving the booster dose must have their vaccination card or identification card, including passports.

These vaccination card restrictions are the same for overseas residents.
