St Kitts and Nevis: A major success in the form of an event, Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim marked the joyful times in the country. Jane Hansom, Director at Sponge Marketing, made great efforts to put on this incredible event. Yesterday, the event extended great times to the people of the country.

“Heartfelt thanks to Premier Mark Brantley for starting the event for us,” mentioned James Hansom. By stating such a statement, the director mentioned or extended the appreciation for the initiative by officials and the tourism authorities of St Kitts and Nevis.

At the Cross Channel Swim, 300 swimmers from all over the Caribbean and world came to the country. The excitement all around was worth watching as the swimmers from different countries like Australia, Canada, USA, UK, Brazil, Spain, France and many others arrived to participate.

Jane Hansom took it to her social media handle and mentioned, “ I have had nothing but great feedback from all the swimmers with many having booked for next year already.” Her such statement itself stated how successful the event went. She as well shared the visual glimpse from the site where the hustle bustle seen itself is proving the words mentioned.

This year, the event marked its 23rd anniversary and had a significant count of swimmers to Nevis, highlighting the tourism expansion of the country. Several of the activities took place during the event. The first one that took place was when the boat departed from St Kitts to Nevis which reached Oualie Beach, Nevis.

The prize distribution ceremony as well was held on the same day. Mike Self bagged the first position with gun time 01:02:49 and George Schnaars bagged second place with a very small difference that is with gun time, 01:03:24.

The result came out via online mode and mentioned the first five winners, Rest three are Matthew Sturtevant, William Palmer and Ryan Williams.
