Jamaica’s men football team to leave for El Salvador on Monday for FIFA World Cup qualifier
The senior national men’s football team of Jamaica island will leave the island for El Salvador on Monday, November 8, 2021, for their FIFA World Cup qualifier, which will take place on Friday, November 12.

The senior national men’s football team of Jamaica island will leave the island for El Salvador on Monday, November 8, 2021, for their FIFA World Cup qualifier, which will take place on Friday, November 12.
The information was provided by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) in a press release. Theodore Whitmore is the coach of the senior national men’s football team.
According to the schedule, the team players based in Europe will arrive at the Norman Manley Airport in Kingston at around 4:30 pm on Monday, where they will join the local delegation on a charter leaving at 7:00 pm. While the players who are based in the United States (and Costa Rica) will fly directly to San Salvador on the same afternoon.
Two team members of the football team – Dillon Barnes and Andre Gray have been replaced by Dwayne Miller and Javain Brown, respectively, following their injuries.
The players will return to the island by charter on Saturday, November 13, before taking on the – United States on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the National Stadium, where a maximum of 5000 fully vaccinated spectators are expected to attend.
Jamaicans have wished good luck to their football team ahead of their matches and expressed their support towards the players and team.

The championship has been awarded every ‘4 years’ since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in the year of – 1942 and 1946 when it was not conducted because of the Second World War. The current champion is – France, which won its second title at the 2018 tournament in Russia.
