St Elizabeth, Jamaica: The Jamaica Constabulary Force conducted an anti-gang task force operation, resulting in the seizure of two firearms in the Pepper district, St Elizabeth. 

As per the details shared by the police officials of the island nation, the exercise was conducted in the Pepper/Goshen area, and the operation continued till midday. The exercise was held with the motive to control the increasing rate of crimes in the stated location. As in recent weeks, St Elizabeth has remained the focus during multiple operations leading to the seizure of drugs, which includes cocaine and marijuana.

It is to be noted that the details of the suspect have not been shared yet by the authorities. Also, the officials are continuing with the process of investigation in order to get the suspect arrested for his/her offence.

Along with that, a multi-agency probe was also called after the discovery of a burnt-out plane in the Elim/Braes River area.

Moreover, on Friday, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, took a pledge and extended more support to the authorities of St Elizabeth during a social housing ceremony.

PM stated, “The government is taking all the possible measures in St Elizabeth to ensure that criminal activities are dealt with in the strongest possible manner. We intend to stem that to halt the increasing rate of crimes.”

The residents of Jamaica also shared their views on this matter. One person with a Facebook account, Headley Robinson, commented the following: “Great job, officers clean up the place too many illegal guns on the streets of Jamaica.”

While another person appreciating the authorities of the island nation with a Facebook handle, Paulette Jackson, commented, “Good news, well done to those officers.”

Furthermore, the authorities of the island nation have also assured that they will try their best and will take stringent measures in order to combat the crime rates. They have promised to prioritize the safety and security of the people.

The citizens have also shown their faith in the officials that they will leave no chance to protect and maintain harmony in the country.
