Jamaica claimed the prestigious Caribbean Media Awards for the best social media campaign from the Caribbean Tourism Organization. The award won by the island nation outlines the unwavering commitment and dedication of the tourism authority towards providing their visitors with exceptional offerings.

The island nation won the award for their Valentine’s Day campaign with BRAVO’s Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke. The Jamaica Tourist Board hosted these talented celebrities through US PR agency, Lou Hammond Group and displayed the romantic allure of the island nation. The campaign garnered huge attention from people as it reached out to 5.3 million and generated 47.1 million impressions.

The Tourism Minister of Jamaica, Edmund Bartlett expressed his happiness over this victory and stated that they are pleased to be recognised for huge social media activation which they executed with US celebs Lindsay and Carl.

Jamaica was announced as the winner of this prestigious award during the Caribbean Media Awards held as a part of CTO Caribbean Week. The week is being held in New York, which begins on 16th June and will continue till 21st June 2024. The CTO Caribbean Week is being attended by several tourism delegates from the Caribbean nations who will exchange their dialogue on bringing innovative ideas to elevate tourism sector of island nation to greater heights.

Moreover, the CTO Caribbean Week also conducted significant discussions around the integration of AI in Tourism Marketing. Tourism Minister of Jamaica, Edmund Bartlett also participated in the discussion of “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence” and shed light on the importance of AI in shaping future of Caribbean tourism.

While sharing the potential of AI, he stated that if people leverage it correctly then they will be able to improve their processes and ultimately make more targeted and strategic decisions. He further stated that tourism workers are at the core of the industry, and they must be at the forefront of bringing change in order to elevate the tourism sector to greater heights. He further said that all the tourism workers must be trained to understand the needs of the landscape to be able to adapt and respond to all the changes and advancements.
