Maestro Paolo Solei, an Italian artist made a beautifully rendered painting that depicts peace, vibrant life and fraternal accord, incorporating elements from the flag of Grenada. He presented this 80cm X 80cm painting, entitled, “No Man is an Island” to the President of Grenada Arts Council, Asher Mains, which is all set to be displayed in the National Museum of the country.

The colours used in making this painting resonate with the local culture of Grenada and demonstrate the research that the artist has undertaken. Also, the Spice Isle has been participating in this competition since 2015, but this is the first time that any global artist has gifted such a painting, and it will reach Grenada at the end of the Biennale.

While shedding light on this painting, the Chairman of the Grenada National Museum, Dr. Oliver Benoit stated that this is the type of partnership that they are seeking with the international organizations regarding the arts, culture and heritage.
