interCaribbean Airways recently received the Caribbean Leading Cabin Crew Award at the 30th World Travel Awards. Many individuals who had flown with interCaribbean Airways raised eyebrows at the airline’s recent win at the World Travel Awards, clearly contradicting with WTA.

Many people shared their experience of flying the interCaribbean Airways and disagreed with the airline’s claims of having a “Leading Cabin Crew”.

People’s experience of flying interCaribbean Airways

A Facebook user named James Richards wrote,”Maybe InterCaribbean owns the company that gave out the award. This has to be a joke,”.

Some also referred to the recent victory as an April Fools in September a user named Nadz Gore wrote, “April Fools came early”.

People also shared their flying experiences. A person named Albertha Millette said that interCaribbean is the worst airline in the world, “I was stranded in the airport waiting for hours, give me a break.

Individuals also questioned the legitimacy of the awards and contradicted the decision of World Travel Awards 2023. Netizens said that the awards are now just a joke.

Ronald Bertrand, another user, also complained of being stranded by the airline and expressed anguish over poor customer support.

“They left me homeless in Barbados. I will never forget that, especially the manager dude with the glasses with totally no customer service,” wrote Bertrand.

Another user said that their experience of travelling interCaribbean was not pleasant on the first trip, and the crew was totally unwelcoming.

Valerie Ann Wong said, “Instead of welcoming me on board, she (crew member) asked me what I was doing with my cup of coffee in the cabin. I would spill it and cause ants in the area,”.

A user also questioned the parameters these awards are scored on, “Who is scoring on these awards? What’s the requirements? This is a joke,” wrote Molly Das.

While mostly people shared about their poor service experiences with interCaribbean, only a handful praised the airline.

“Well done to the Cabin Crew of InterCaribbean Airlines. At least the airline seems to have one thing to be proud of. People, it’s basically an award for service by whom most of u would call Flight Attendants,” wrote a user, Angie Dulices.

She further agreed with the quite a bit of negativity about the airline in regards mostly to delays and customer service on the ground, “I cannot say that I have heard or seen any negativity about the in-flight service,”.
