Guyana: President of Guyana recently shared the glimpse of the Diwali celebration in the nation. On the eve of Diwali President Dr Irfaan Ali, First Lady Arya Ali and Zayd joined thousands of Guyanese to view the Diwali Motorcade along the route from Georgetown to the La Bonne Intention (LBI) Community Centre Ground, East Coast Demerara. Later, President Ali and patrons at the LBI Community Centre enjoyed a cultural presentation organized by the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabah.
Diwali light up at State House and several communities in Essequibo, Berbice and Demerara on the evening.
Many people gathered and wished President Irfaan Ali on this auspicious occasion. One of the users wrote, “It was indeed a spectacular evening as it was lit up as never before very beautifully display. Happy Diwali to you my President Ali and family also to all Guyanese.” Yet another mentioned, “Mr. President Irfaan Ali there is never a dull moment whenever you step out into the public, it becomes a kodak moment. I just love it, hope to have a kodak moment with you one day.”
The third one highlighted, “Happy Diwali Mr. President and to your family too.”
Along with the President, many ministries, including Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Health, gathered to wish the general public of Guyana.
