Guyana: President Ali meets residents of Siparuta and Orealla
Guyana: Dr Irfaan Ali told residents of Siparuta, Region Six, that his Government wants to make all communities across the country financially and economically viable.

Guyana: Dr Irfaan Ali told residents of Siparuta, Region Six, that his Government wants to make all communities across the country financially and economically viable.
He made this statement while addressing the Region Six community during outreach on Saturday.
“We want to do more within the budgetary constraints. We want to work with you in lifting you up, lifting your community up and bringing hope to every single home in Siparuta.”
Before visiting Siparuta, President Ali also carried out a similar exercise in neighbouring Orealla.
Dr Irfaan Ali reassured residents of Orealla in Region Six that Amerindians and their communities are equally important to Guyana’s development.
President Ali made the announcement during an outreach to the community on August 14, 2022 (Sunday).
“Today is about you— the Government will listen to you; your thoughts and will understand what we are doing. What are the new ideas that you have?” the Head of State stated.
President Ali asserted that the time is now for Guyanese “to be bold, imaginative and to realise our aspirations and ambitions.”
He reassured the also residents that the Government will always work for them as their partners in development and will surely embrace the residents in realising their dreams.
The Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha; Minister of Amerindian Affairs, the Honourable Pauline Sukhai; Minister of Local Government & Regional Development, Nigel Dharamlall and other Government and regional officials were also at the outreach.
