Antigua and Barbuda: The four cricket legends of Antigua and Barbuda is all set to tour the UK for the celebration of the T20 World Cup. Sir Viv Richards, Sir Curtly Ambrose, Sir Richie Richardson and Sir Andy Roberts are the players who will be hailing to the UK in order to celebrate the rich cricketing legacy of the island nation.

The tourism authority of the island nation will host three evenings for the cricketing legends at Lord’s, Glasgow and Headingley respectively. The legend’s visit promises to offer an unforgettable experience filled with beautiful memories as well as a showcase of the country’s cricketing skills and vibrant culture.

The tour will begin on Tuesday, 23rd April with a black-tie gala in The Thomas Lord Suite at Lord’s. The guests will be offered delicious and mouth-watering dishes in order to display and foster the rich culinary heritage of the island nation.

On Wednesday, 24th April, the players will head to Glasgow where they will visit Drygate Brewery in order to celebrate the qualification of Scotland for the T20 World Cup 2024. Moreover, the cricketing team of Scotland, their board members, official partners and VIP guests will also attend the celebration.

Notably, Scotland will play their World Cup match in Antigua and Barbuda against Oman and the players have also expressed excitement about getting qualified and representing their nation at such a prestigious championship.

On Thursday, 25th April, the legends will make their visit to Headingley in order to commemorate the return of Sir Richie, who became the first player to represent the West Indies in 1993.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place from 1st to 29th June 2024 and Caribbean nations will also be hosting a few matches. Antigua and Barbuda will host eight games at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The tourism authority has extended an invitation to all cricket lovers to visit and experience the exciting tournament.
