Executive Director of Saint Lucia Coalition of Services – Yvonne Agard, is the new Chair of the National Export Council (NEC).

St Lucia: Executive Director of Saint Lucia Coalition of Services – Yvonne Agard, is the new Chair of the National Export Council (NEC). The NEC oversees the implementation of the National Export Development Strategy. The strategy serves to better position Saint Lucia‘s goods and services in the international market.
Agard has over 20 years of experience in private sector development, including spending the past 13 years in her current role at the Saint Lucia Coalition of Services. Agard’s key competencies include cluster development, project management and trade mission planning, and monitoring and evaluation of programs for private sector development.
With the experience of over a decade as the Executive Director of the Saint Lucia Coalition of Services Industries Inc, Yvonne Agard brings a wealth of knowledge in private sector development and international trade in goods and services to the National Export Council.
These skills have been acquired by Agard because of her educational qualification. Agard completed her Bachelors in BSc Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and Masters in MBA Project Management from Henley College.
The National Export Council would serve for the span of three years and later could be eligible for reappointment.
As per the Section 9 of the Trade Export Promotion Agency Act of 2013, the current National Export Council includes representatives from many associations and ministries, such as the Saint Lucia Industrial and Small Business Association, The Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association, the Saint Lucia Manufacturers Association, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Trade and Ministry of Finance.
