The defending champions, Guyana Amazon Warriors has recently signed England cricketer, Moeen Ali as a replacement for Saim Ayub for the remainder of the Caribbean Premier League 2024.

The defending champions, Guyana Amazon Warriors has recently signed England cricketer, Moeen Ali as a replacement for Saim Ayub for the remainder of the Caribbean Premier League 2024.
Saim is unavailable for remaining CPL 2024 due to Test Series against Bangladesh & Champions Cup. Therefore, they have signed England allrounder Moeen Ali who is all set for his maiden CPL stint after having been signed up by defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors for the ongoing season.
Moeen Ali, an English cricketer has also remained vice-captain of England in limited overs cricket. He has also recently announced his retirement from international cricket at 37.
He made his debut in 2014 and has played 68 tests, 138 ODIs, and 92 T20Is, scoring 6,678 runs and taking 366 wickets. Along with that, Moeen Ali has also been the crucial player in the England’s 2019 Cricket World Cup and 2022 T20 World Cup wins.
Moeen Ali also expressed his pride in his nearly 300-game career and stated that he has done his part and it’s time for the next generation to take over. And, with his signing for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League, Ali marks a new chapter in his cricket journey.
Moreover, Guyana Amazon Warriors has been phenomenal in the CPL 2024 winning all the three matches that they have played. The first match for Guyana Amazon Warriors was against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons with the game being a nail biter with close margin but Warriors manages to defeat the latter by 3 wickets.
They defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by a huge margin of 40 runs in their second match of the tournament. Their third match of the CPL 2024 was just a one-sided game as all the players of the Saint Lucia Kings were taken down in just 14.3 overs, giving a target of 101 runs to the defending champions. The Warriors easily chased down the target in just 10 overs with 60 balls left.
