Dominica: Skip the homesickness, work from “Nature Island”
On Friday, Dominica launched the Work in Nature (WIN) extended-stay visa, allowing visitors to relocate to Dominica and work remotely from Nature Island for up to 18 months.

On Friday, Dominica launched the Work in Nature (WIN) extended-stay visa, allowing visitors to relocate to Dominica and work remotely from Nature Island for up to 18 months.

The visa focuses on people who want to work remotely – digital vagabonds and those with families. The WIN family bundle reassures you to bring your children, who will continue their education on the island.
Work in Nature (WIN) programme enables an individual to live, work, and reinvigorate in Dominica for up to 18 months. It is the best way to leave the world’s stress behind and switching to a healthier and better life.
WIN is the solution for digital travelers and those operating remotely who want to leave a stress-free environment. As Dominica has safe transport systems, and hospitals and schools are all of a high standard with exceptional digital connectivity.
The WIN Programme also extends to those on vacation from work or school or just wanting some time out from their routine.
Who can apply for WIN:
- They must be atleast 18 years of age
- They must be of good character, without a criminal history
- They must be able to make the needed financial contribution
- They must be able to work remotely
- They can expect to earn an income of US$50,000 or additionally the next 12 months and/or have the means to sustain themselves, their spouse/partner, and their extra family members attending them during their stay in Dominica during this programme
The main candidate can apply with his/her family members through the same form.
Eligibility for family members comprises of:
- The main candidate’s spouse or partner;
- The main candidate’s child or step-child under the age of 18 years;
- Any other family-relative who is, by reason of age, completely dependent on the main candidate for his/her expenses.
Visa Details
The WIN Visa (evidenced by a stamp known as the WIN Visa Stamp) is issued on arrival in Dominica and is valid from that date for up to 18 months.
Under the WIN Visa, one can carry out any work that can be conducted remotely. However, the WIN visa only allows people to work remotely for companies and individuals not registered in Dominica.
- Children of WIN Visa holders may attend school (whether public or private) in Dominica. Education is compulsory for children between the ages of five and 16.
