Dominica PM Roosevelt Skerrit attends Ceremonial State Opening of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament in Grenada

Grenada: Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica – Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, visited the neighbouring country – Grenada, to attend the Ceremonial State Opening of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit anticipated that Grenada grow and may god bless the country.

The theme of the ceremony was “’Transformative Development: Towards A Sustainable, Equitable And Prosperous Grenada.”

Through his social media handle, Prime Minister Skerrit outlined, “I was honoured to be the guest of the Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell at the Ceremonial State Opening of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament on Wednesday.”

He added, “The ceremony was held under the theme ‘Transformative Development: Towards A Sustainable, Equitable And Prosperous Grenada.’ May God Bless Grenada.”

Apart from PM Roosevelt Skerrit, Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J Pierre was one of the attendees of the event. Through social media, he thanked Grenadian PM Mitchell for inviting him.

He stated, “Thank you, Prime Minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell for hosting me at the Ceremonial State Opening of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament of Grenada.”

“You have my support as you serve your country under the guidance of the theme for today’s ceremony, “Transformative Development: Towards A Sustainable, Equitable And Prosperous Grenada.” May God bless the government and the citizens of Grenada,” PM Pierre’s social media post read.

The government of Grenada also welcomed the general to join for the Ceremonial Opening of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. The live stream and commentary began at 9:45 am.
