Condor Airlines restart services to Antigua and Barbuda after Covid-19 pandemic

Antigua and Barbuda was abuzz with excitement as they welcomed the return flight of Condor Airlines after the long break since the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline restarted its services on Tuesday, 5th November, 2024 and will continue till 6th May, 2025 for the peak winter season.

The return flight of the Condor Airlines was welcomed with a grand water cannon salute. All the passengers present on the flight were given a warm welcome by the people of Antigua and Barbuda.

As per the details, the newly introduced Airbus A330-900 of Condor Airlines will operate its services from Frankfurt to Antigua and Barbuda. It has a capacity of accommodating 310 seats which includes, 30 business class seats and 64 premium economy seats. All these facilities have been made with the vision to meet the demands and needs of Antigua and Barbuda’s market.

The Minister of Tourism of Antigua and Barbuda, Charles Fernandez expressed excitement on the resumption of the flight services by Condor Airlines. He stated that they are happy to welcome Condor back for their winter season.

He further added that the German-speaking market is their second most important European market. That is why, the direct flight services by Condor Airlines from Frankfurt would open valuable access to Antigua and Barbuda for central European travellers.

Moreover, Condor’s Senior Manager Network Planning, Oliver Feess also shed light on the resumption of the connection between Frankfurt and Antigua and Barbuda. He added that they are committed to offer their guests with exceptional services and a plethora of options to enjoy their holiday in the twin-island nation.

He expressed delight on continuing their partnership with Antigua and Barbuda. He also mentioned about the aircraft A 330-990 neo which will offer services to the travellers travelling from Frankfurt to the island nation. He stated that this new Business Class is the perfect product for this wonderful destination which ensures to provide a safe and delightful services to all the travellers.

The management of the V.C. Bird International Airport also shared glimpses of the first flight from Frankfurt after a period of 5 long years. They recalled their relation with Condor Airlines and stated that it is no stranger to Antigua and Barbuda.

“Our relationship dates back to the early 70s when we first travelled for their Tourism business,” noted V.C. Bird International Airport.

They expressed their desire to continue their partnership and stated that they are looking forward to many more years with a valued member of their aviation family.
