Central Cops Put Brakes on Stolen Vehicle Ring
Police operations in Central Division moved into high gear yesterday as officers recovered nine stolen vehicles, arrested two persons during an intelligence-led operation.

Trinidad and Tobago: Police operations in the Central Division moved into high gear yesterday as officers recovered nine stolen vehicles and arrested two persons during an intelligence-led operation.
According to the preliminary information shared by the police service, around 9:15 am officers proceeded to Tortuga Avenue, Exchange Gardens, Couva where they detained a man from Princes Town in connection with several reports of motor vehicle larceny. The officers received further information, then proceeded to Mt Dor Road, Champ Fleurs. There, the officers arrested a 35-year-old man from Champ Fleurs and seized, one Nissan B14, one Nissan B15 and three Nissan B13 vehicles.
The officers then proceeded to Brickfield Road, Carapichaima where they seized one Nissan Pulsar, one Nissan B13 and two Nissan B14 vehicles.
The police official mentioned that the recovered vehicles were reported stolen in various policing districts. They were taken to the Cunupia Police Station, where enquiries are continuing.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt Curt Simon, Supt Pierre, Supt Teewarie, ASP Dipchand, Insp Ablacksingh and coordinated by Sgt Cielto Ag and members of the Central Division Gang Unit and included assistance from Sgt Nelson and members of the Chaguanas CID, Cyber Crime, Stolen Vehicles Unit, and Central Division Task Force Area North.
