Celebrity Summit kicks off 2024-2025 cruise season in Antigua and Barbuda
Celebrity Summit is the first ship of the Celebrity Cruises line to dock for the 2024-2025 season.

The Celebrity Summit became the first vessel to dock at the shores of Antigua and Barbuda for the cruise season 2024-2025 on Tuesday. The vessel docked at the Heritage Quay and brought over 2000 passengers to the island nation, marked a promising start to the cruise season in Antigua and Barbuda.
As per the details, the Celebrity Summit is the first ship of the Celebrity Cruises line to dock for the 2024-2025 season. Following the arrival of Celebrity Summit, Antigua and Barbuda was quick enough to welcome their second cruise of the season, Rhapsody of the Seas.
The vessel was also docked at the Heritage Quay, bringing thousands of passengers to the island nation, marking a huge boost to the tourism sector.
The passengers and the crew members from both the cruises were warmly welcomed by the port authorities and were presented with the rich offerings of the country, promoting the vibrant culture, traditions and rich flavours of Antigua and Barbuda.
As, the cruise season has officially opened in Antigua and Barbuda, the authorities are aiming to attract large number of passengers to the country through their diverse offerings. The cruise season has always been the key driver in bringing large number of visitors of the country, boosting the tourism sector.
The arrival of cruise ships always plays an immense role in not only enhancing the tourism sector but the other sectors as well including, business, economy, accommodations and many more. The enhancement in such sectors automatically results in generating revenues for the nation, enhancing the overall economy of the island nation.
Also, the authorities announced their plans to welcome 23 luxury cruise ship calls, bringing 5,039 passengers to the island nation at the John E St Luce Financial Centre at the Antigua Cruise Connect Conference. The authorities noted that they are looking forward to welcoming 58 cruise calls at Falmouth and 351 cruise calls at Heritage Quay respectively, resulting in a total of 432 calls for the season.
Moreover, the 2023-2024 season has been the record-breaking year for Antigua and Barbuda in terms of cruise season. Therefore, the authorities are aiming to surpass the record of the last year and are determined to make several possible efforts with a vision to make this season more successful than the last one.
