Barbados reports 123 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours
The Caribbean country recorded 123 new cases of the COVID-19 virus on March 25, as per the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

Barbados: The Caribbean country recorded 123 new cases of the COVID-19 virus on Friday, March 25, 2022, as per the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Wellness in its daily COVID-19 update report.
Among these new cases, 54 are men, and 69 are women. The positive cases have been reported from 833 tests conducted. Since February 2020, a total of 607,845 tests have been conducted by the public health laboratory in Barbados.
No death has been recorded by the healthcare authorities on March 25, 2022, the total toll of death rate is at 330 in the Caribbean island.
According to the data of the report, there are a total of 43 individuals who are at present in the isolation facilities, whereas in total, 912 persons have isolated themselves at their respective homes on the advice of a medical practitioner.
The report of the health ministry noted that the island country is having a total of 58,393 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus, of which a total of 27,060 individuals tested positive for the virus were male, and the remaining 31,333 were female.
Out of the newly reported cases, 28 individuals are the ones who are under the age group of 18 years, and 98 are of 18 years and older.
Till March 25, 2022, there are a total of 160,923 persons who have taken their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines, whereas, in total, 150,873 individuals are the ones who have received their needed number of the vaccine jabs and hence, are now fully immunised.
The health ministry noted that 55.7 percent of the overall population is fully vaccinated, while 66.1 percent of the eligible population of the Caribbean island is fully inoculated. Meanwhile, around 70.5 percent of the total population is vaccinated by taking at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines.
