Overall Caribbean Weather

Eastern Caribbean: A central Atlantic ridge pattern was the dominant feature across Barbados and the eastern Caribbean. In addition, the mid to upper-level environment over the region remained relatively dry. As a result, mostly dry and stable weather conditions were experienced. However, a few lights scattered showers were observed as weak surface-to-low-level confluence generated shallow low-level cloud patches that drifted across the region.

Further south over Trinidad and Tobago, a ridge pattern was also the dominant feature, allowing for mostly dry and stable weather conditions. Across Guyana, conditions were mostly fair to partly cloudy initially.

However, an eastward propagating surface to low-level trough began to affect Guyana and Suriname as well as parts of eastern Guyana, triggering cloudy to overcast skies with some scattered showers.

Western Caribbean: A weak frontal boundary affected the northern Bahamas, triggering passing showers under partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Elsewhere, mostly dry and stable weather conditions were experienced due to a dominant ridge pattern.
