Antigua and Barbuda: The Tourism Ministry of Antigua and Barbuda highlighted Antigua’s Classic Yacht Regatta as it is live till April 22, 2024.
The Ministry mentioned that it is a mixture of competitive racing and laid-back cruising. This special event has been a prominent staple in Antigua dating back to the 60s and has been cemented in the culture ever since.
This international Regatta has a variety of high-calibre classic yachts competing in races over four days. The event promises to bring up people to the country from all across the world who share their love of sailing class, traditional and vintage yachts.
The featured Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta is one which always remains on the bucket list of sailors. This also outlines the extraordinary design that has the dimensions of 52 feet on deck and 65 feet overall.
The event will offer an ultimate display of skill, speed, and sea breeze. Through this event, it has been projected that a significant count of tourists will be attracted.
Under the events’ race schedule, several races were the part and for April 21 (Sunday), Race 4 will grace the shores of Antigua where a parade of classics, Happy Hour & Dockyard Party will take place.
For Monday (April 22, 2024), a single-handed race, Gig Racing & Cream Tea, Happy Hour, Prize Giving, and Dinner & Music will be the part. Moreover, in the country, there will be Antigua Sailing Week that will be held from April 27 to May 3, 2024. This as well will make the country one that will attract huge tourism.
In regards to it, Silver Airways even announced the extended flights that are to take a move from April 26 to May 4, 2024. Such a flight introduced would offer an opportunity to have all the fun through the activities which will take place in the country. There as well is a special offer that includes the discount of 10% for the flights from San Juan to Antigua.
