Antigua and Barbuda: It is a moment of pride for Antigua and Barbuda as Arian Blanchard, who hails from St. John’s, Antigua, has created history by becoming the 1st Female Line Check Airman for the Caribbean Airlines.
For the same, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, congratulated her and expressed delight at witnessing the progress of the women of his nation and making an impact in diverse fields.
Captain Blanchard has always had a curiosity and passion for flying, as her childhood home was located close to the final approach at the V.C. Bird International Airport, Antigua. She attended the Florida Institute of Technology where she completes her graduation in Aviation Management and completed her Master Degree in Airport Development and Management.
Following her studies, Captain Blanchard returned home and began her flying career where she was quickly promoted to Technical Ground Instructor, Captain ATR and finally Check Airman at her previous employ. And, now in her new portfolio, Captain Blanchard will be responsible for carrying out Line Flight training and conducting proficiency checks to ensure high standards are followed and maintained.
PM Browne expressed his happiness and stated that it is always overwhelming to see the people of the nation rising and turning their aspirations into a reality. He also stated that the election of Arian Blanchard as the Female Line Check will play a huge role in enhancing their connections with the Caribbean Airlines.
Caribbean Airlines offers flight services to Antigua and Barbuda from several route of Port of Spain, Kingston, Georgetown, and many more. The Management of the Airlines have also appreciated the twin island and stated that they love to bring passengers to the beautiful island nation who is the perfect place to escape.
Along with that, they also mentioned about diverse amenities offered by the VC Bird International Airport and stated that it offers plethora of experiences to all the travellers which doubles the excitement and fun of all the visitors.
