Antigua and Barbuda: The authorities of Antigua and Barbuda are all set to demolish the former Tranquility Bay Hotel as well as the Pop-Up Beach Bar in order to facilitate the upcoming construction of the Nikki Beach Project.
This substantial tourism venture in Antigua’s Jolly Harbour will be undertaken by the Ayre Group noted the Economic Ambassador, Calvin Ayre. They shared that the process of the demolition will begin on 31st July 2024 to mark the beginning of the much-anticipated Nikki Beach Project.
The demolition of this project is reported to take around 6 months to be completed. While shedding light on the scope of this project, the Communications Department of the Ayre Group noted that the existing structures will be removed and the temporary parking will be provided.
They also noted that they will make all possible efforts in order to minimize any potential disruption to the environment for local businesses with a motive to conduct a safe demolition process. This resort will encompass luxury accommodations and private villas with a vision to elevate the country’s profile on the global map.
Calvin Ayre also emphasised that this project will play a crucial role in attracting high-end tourists which will directly enhance the tourism sector of Antigua and Barbuda. He noted that this project would create huge employment opportunities, leading to generate huge amounts of revenue for the nation.
