Antigua: “Extraordinary Seven” contestants competing for Queen of Carnival 2024 unveils

The tourism authority of Antigua and Barbuda unveiled the “Extraordinary seven” contestants who will be competing in the National Housing and Urban Renewal Company Ltd Queen of Carnival 2024 Competition.

Antigua and Barbuda: The tourism authority of Antigua and Barbuda unveiled the “Extraordinary seven” contestants who will be competing in the National Housing and Urban Renewal Company Ltd Queen of Carnival 2024 Competition. The unveiling of the participants was conducted on 25th April during the launch ceremony of Antigua Carnival 2024.

These seven working women have always been very dedicated towards their diverse professions which is a huge source of inspiration for all the young girls. They all aim to set the stage on fire with their exceptional talent, grace, charm as well as hopes to make a huge impact by redefining beauty.

The pageant is a part of Antigua’s Carnival 2024 which promises to be a celebration of talent, beauty and the vibrant culture of the island nation.

The contestants that will be vying for the coveted crown of Queen of Carnival 2024 include,

1.Shakkia Carlos – Miss Arton Capital

  1. Desrie Markham – Miss Rawdon and Associates
  2. Kevinya Joseph – Miss Cool and Smooth
  3. J’amalynStevens – Miss Kennedy’s Club Ltd.
  4. Shania Samuel – Miss Liat 2020
  5. Dominique Trotman – Miss Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority
  6. Chandera Condington – Miss Furniture Gallery

Shakkia Carlos is currently a student at the University of the West Indies, Five Islands Campus. She is focusing on Management with a Concentration in Tourism. She has always been passionate about pageantry, and theatre arts as well as a business owner. She is now one of the contestants in the National Housing and Urban Renewal Company Ltd Queen of Carnival 2024 Competition which is a testament to her personal growth and development.

Desrie Markham

Desrie Markham is an Attorney-at-Law who has always been passionate about theatre arts. She actively advocates for the National Secondary School Drama Festival. She has also been a crucial member of the National Youth Theatre for the last seven years. With her participation in the pageant, she is all set to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the country. 

Kevinya Joseph
