St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: An Unforgettable Fusion of Culture, Colour and Excitement is about to start in the twin-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda, as the Carnival 2023 will begin. The Carnival has been scheduled to start on July 27 and will end on August 8, 2023.
The organising authorities have invited the general public of the nation and people across the world to attend the Carnival in Antigua and Barbuda. The authorities have stated that after celebrating the 4th of July holiday, come and experience the Caribbean’s greatest summer festival in Antigua and Barbuda.
When you think about Antigua, the first thing that comes to mind is the opulent, tropical climate and the sweet, majestic scent of the all-year-round ocean breeze. While this touristic destination is pleased to boast about its 365 beaches, one step on the coral sand is merely the beginning of its wide product offerings.
During the warm summer months, once you have taken the opportunity to set foot on Antigua’s shores, you are automatically given an all-access pass to explore the richest cultural event – Carnival!
According to the schedule shared, the Carnival will be all about Mas, Music and Creativity. The schedule for the Carnival is as follows:
July 27 – Official Opening
July 28 – Youth Rave
July 29 – T-Shirt Mas
July 30 – JR Carnival/ JR Calypso
July 31 – Jaycees Queen Show
August 1 – Drue’s Day/ Emancipation Watch Night
August 2 – JR Party Monarch
August 3 – Caribbean Melting Pot
August 4 – Calypso Monarch
August 5 – Panorama
August 6 – Party Monarch
August 7 – J’Ouvert/ Carnival Monday
August 8 – Parade of the Bands/ Last Lap
The schedule has also informed that pre-events will be marked on July 22 and July 23 with events including the Mr and Miss Teenage Pageant and Queen of Carnival, respectively.
