Antigua and Barbuda releases event calendar for 2024

The calendar of events of Antigua and Barbuda for 2024 has been unveiled. From the Antigua Yacht Festival to Carnival, the New Year promises to bring thousands of tourists to the shores of the destination.

Notably, the twin-island destination events calendar means that whatever time of the year the visitor will visit the nation, there will surely be an event in the destination. 

Events to be hosted by Antigua and Barbuda in 2024

JANUARY

The month of January will witness the Oyster World Rally and Antigua Yacht Club Round the Race Island tour. The first month of the new year will bring the competitive spirit as the nation will conduct the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Rowing Challenge. 

FEBRUARY

The second month of the year has some exciting events ahead for the citizens and the tourists as the twin islands will witness Jolly Harbour Valentine’s Regatta, Antigua 360 degrees Race and Royal Oceanic Race Club Caribbean 600 race. 

MARCH

The visitors and the residents will get to enjoy various events. The events include Music in the Ruins, Music to Inspire, A Concert for Students, Playing to Inspire 6, 13th Superyacht Challenge, Soothe: A Night of Neo-Soul and the Opening Ceremony of Antigua Yacht Club Annual Laser. 

APRIL

The activities to be conducted in April are the Antigua and Barbuda International Kite Festival, the GARD Center Farm to Table Fundraising Luncheon, the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, and Antigua Sailing Week. 

MAY

The residents and the visitors will witness Antigua and Barbuda Restaurant Week, Dockyard Day, Antigua to Bermuda Race, The 56th Annual Antigua & Barbuda Sports Fishing Tournament, Mikie Pigott Jr. Memorial Classic, Barbuda’s Caribana and Run in Paradise.

JUNE 

In June, the Twin Island will celebrate Antigua and Barbuda Romance Month, which plays a huge role in bringing loved ones even closer. Antigua and Barbuda are among the most renowned romantic destinations. 

JULY

In July, citizens and tourists will witness the Caribbean’s Greatest Summer Festival: Antigua Carnival. The carnival is one of the best ways of exhibiting the vibrant culture of the island nation. 

AUGUST

The island nation will celebrate Carnival Monday, Carnival Tuesday, Urlings Seafood Festival and Piango Fest in August. 

SEPTEMBER

The visitors and citizens will witness a huge celebration on World Tourism Day. Along with that, the Francis Nunes Jr. Memorial Fishing Tournament and Seafood Festival will also be celebrated in September. 

OCTOBER

Antigua and Barbuda will celebrate its 43rd Anniversary of Independence. Various activities and events will be held to celebrate the independence of the island nation. The events will play a huge role in promoting the culture and traditions of the country. 

NOVEMBER

The citizens of the island nation will witness the celebration of Independence Day. Along with that, other events will also be held, which include, The Best in the West Fishing Tournament, ABHC Holistic Health and Wellness Expo, Jolly Harbour Yacht Club Annual Regatta and Antigua and Barbuda Art Week. 

DECEMBER

The last month of the year will offer its citizens and visitors a few entertaining events. The events that will be conducted are Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Week, Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Nelson’s Dockyard Christmas Day Party and Nelson’s Dockyard Old Year’s Night Party.

The island nation has kept a plethora of activities and events planned for the enjoyment and entertainment of its citizens and visitors.
