Antigua and Barbuda: Celebrity Chef Andi Oliver to open Pepperpot Rum Shop with Pop-Up

Antigua and Barbuda: The opening of Pepperpot Rum Shop has been introduced for May 8, 2024. The Tourism Ministry of Antigua and Barbuda has extended an invitation to the public to indulge in a taste with Celebrity Chef Andi Oliver’s new 100-day Pop-Up.

The Ministry of Tourism highlighted that the inaugural Pepper Pot Rum Shop experience will be in the historic Fort that is James area of Antigua. This will be fostered in the country under the collaboration between three parties that is Celebrity Chef Andi Oliver, Treehouse Beach Club and the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.

The Pepperpot Rum Shop set at the Treehouse Beach Club would reveal the melting pot of delicious items which include food, drinks and iconic cultural touchstones. All these were inspired by Andi’s recipes and the heritage of Antigua and Barbuda.

On this, Celebrity Chef Andi Oliver even expressed his thrill for showcasing some of the recipes as part of Pepperpot Rum Shop at Antigua and Barbuda. She casted light on different ways of making rice and peas, various recipes for BBQ chicken and three different kinds of Pepperpot.

She also highlighted that the systematic set of Caribbean food yet is not in the same position as that of French and Italian. And, she added that she will share some of the dishes that are inspired by friends, family and the heritage of Antigua.

Visitors paying a visit to the shop will enjoy the treats of various dishes which are even referred to by her as “Andi’s most celebrated dishes.” These dishes include chocolate curried goat and some unique recipes made by keeping in mind the availability of local ingredients.

Such a launch even gives an idea of the vibrant Antigua and Barbuda Restaurant Week which is going to take place in the country from May 4 to May 19, 2024. This will offer an essence of the food scene of Island, Antigua and Barbuda.
