American Airlines to start direct flight from Miami to Anguilla by next year
American Airlines offers a direct flight from Miami to Anguilla, commencing April 2, 2022.

The Valley, Anguilla: Good news arrived for those who wish to travel to Anguilla island. American Airlines offers a direct flight from Miami to Anguilla, commencing April 2, 2022. The Tourism Board announced on Wednesday.
The direct flight will depart from the Miami International Airport (MIA) and arrive at the Clayton J Lloyd International Airport (AXA).
Premier of Anguilla, Dr Ellis Webster, welcoming and appreciating the airlines’ decision, cited, “We ventured on this journey with American Airlines with the objective intending to secure service to our country”.
Webster added, “We are immensely gratified that this goal has been achieved ahead of schedule. It is a testament to the overwhelming demand for our wonderful tourism product and to American Airlines’ confidence in the experience and capability of our amazing team on the island to support and promote their operation.”
Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Haydn Hughes noted, the government successfully managed to re-open its borders for both investors and visitors. He added that they are the ones who chose to make Anguilla – the destination of choice.
“I am glad to share that this partnership continues to blossom even in the early stage, and today we announce the beginning of daily flights to and from Anguilla/Miami in April 2022. Take a bow, Anguilla and fly with us!” the tourism minister asserted.
The daily flight service will provide the travellers with a package of options. At the present time, American Airlines offers flights to the Caribbean island on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In the upcoming month, this flight service will be increased to three times a week, boosting the economy as well as tourism sector of the country.
Managing Director of Sales for Florida, Latin America & the Caribbean of the airlines, Christine Valls, outlined, “Anguilla is an essential destination within our route network, one which we believe has enormous potential for growth. We look forward to working with our Anguillan associates to develop both leisure and business tourism to the island and to the region”.
