66.3 per cent SKN population is fully vaccinated
St Kitts and Nevis island have fully vaccinated 66.3 per cent of the population (21,914 individuals) with the second dose, while a total of 74.3 per cent population has received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of September 07 2021.

St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis island have fully vaccinated 66.3 per cent of the population (21,914 individuals) with the second dose, while a total of 74.3 per cent population has received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of September 07 2021.
With this, the nation is getting more closer to achieve its target of herd immunity. On the other hand, a total of 2.5 per cent of children between the age group of 12 – 17 years have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the statistics, a total of 46,463 doses have been administered on the twin island, out of which 35,583 doses were administered on St Kitts while 10,871 doses were administered on Nevis.
Additionally, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis , Dr Timothy Harris, is also encouraging the citizens to take jabs of their COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible in order to fight and defeat the deadly mutant.
The SKN government also provided COVID-19 hotline numbers for the citizens – (869) 467-1146/1233 (St Kitts), (869) 469-5521, 2035/2051/(869) 469 -8010 (Nevis island).
Despite this, the Tourism Minister – Lindsay Grant stated that all signs are pointing towards a positive recovery of the economy in – St Kitts and Nevis as global business started to pick rear up.
The Minister made the statements on Sunday, September 05, 2021 at the Antioch Baptist Church as he worshipped with the – leadership, board members, management, and staff of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCARPA) to celebrate the organization on the 28th anniversary.
The Minister noted that the work to restart the nations’ tourism industry has been carefully handled & implemented with the appropriate levels balancing lives and livelihood. SCASPAs 28th anniversary was celebrated under the theme – ‘Overcoming Challenges, Building Resilience.’
