Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Department of Youth – Nevis has welcomed Youth Month 2023 (April) with the hope to celebrate it with joy and excitement to the fullest. It bid goodbye to March and welcomed April through a social media post.
The post by the Department read, “Bye Bye March. Hello April! We welcome everyone to Youth Month 2023! The staff at the Department of Youth eagerly welcomes the month of April as it signals the celebration of our young people.”
The Youth Department further noted that this year, as a substitute for the typical Minister’s address, the Department created a Youth Month Film featuring the Minister of Youth, U Troy Liburd.
It further informed that the film brings into sharp focus the chosen theme, which is “Inspire to Aspire.” The film depicts the heights that young people can attain when they are motivated and inspired to act. The truth is each of us can become a source of inspiration to our young people, which can, in turn, enhance their personal and professional life.
Furthermore, it extended special thanks towards Erleon David of Skyshun Digital for producing this exceptional video. While the producer, the Department stated that Erleon’s level of professionalism and insights set the gold standard to which young people should aspire. He is dependable, committed, hardworking, ambitious and talented. In his words, “This project pushed me outside of my comfort zone, and I must say that I was inspired. I loved working on this project.”
