The Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government is now the owner of a power launch

Hillsborough, Carriacou: The Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government is now the owner of a power launch, according to the update shared by the Ministry, shared last week.
Reportedly, the boat is a donation from Leroy Granger, a Grenadian national living in the United States of America. To get the power launch sea-ready and in the best condition for use, the Ministry utilized the premises and services of the Tyrell Bay Marina for repair work.
It furthermore informed that the boat had been repaired by the Senior Agriculture Officer Benson Patrice. “Senior Agriculture Officer Benson Patrice played a critical role in the repair work, which is near completion,” the post read.
The Minister of Carriacau and Petite Martinique Affairs noted that Patrice was commended by Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government Javan Williams.
As per the reports, the Permanent Secretary, on behalf of Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, Tevin Andrews, also expressed thanks to the Granger family for such a huge donation.
The power launch, said PS Williams, will have multiple uses by the Ministry; this includes facilitating the work of staff attached to the Sandy Island/Oyster Bed Marine Protected Area.

This donation was praised by the citizens, who took the comment section to laud the authorities. One of the users named Marissa Carla Joseph mentioned, “Great, I’m loving the progress. I hope one of the uses would be daily unrestricted transportation to Grenada for medical emergencies,” yet another named Kemron ‘Skyhigh’ Dufont commented, “Great work!”
