LIAT Ltd, also called as – Leeward Islands Air Transport Services and operating as LIAT, announced to start a cashless transactions service at the Princess Juliana International Airport in Sint Maarten. The authorities noted the decision had been made seeing the convenience of the passengers.
The cashless transaction policy will be effective from Thursday, January 27, 2022. The authorities of the Caribbean airlines emphasized that following the region’s current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and as it is revamping its network, the airlines have been focusing on reviewing its services, with a motive to make more investments in the processes for the safety of their customers throughout the flight journey.
As per LIAT’s statement, this decision is best for all, especially when the world is stepping into the third year of the deadliest viral disease, as it will reduce the physical contact, adding that online cash transactions will save the time of the customers, meanwhile providing them with the service of easy pay.
The customers can make online payments, either via their debit/credit cards, or can also contact the Reservations Call Centre to pre-book paying for their bags prior to arriving at the airport. The passengers will be receiving an electronic receipt, which will eventually reduce the use of papers, the officials of the Caribbean airlines furthermore highlighted.
“We continue to become an eco-friendly airline and offer the best of the services to our customers to make their journey with us memorable and full of comfort“, LIAT asserted in its issued statement, adding that it will be implementing cashless transaction service across its network, within forthcoming months.
At present, Caribbean airlines connect people to the beautiful destinations of – Antigua, Dominica, St Kitts, St Maarten, St Thomas, Barbados, Grenada, St Lucia, St Vincent, and Tortola, B.V.I.
