Illegal firearm & ammo discover at Campden Park Port, RSVGPF begins investigation
RSVGPF officers collaborated with the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) and seizure of illegal firearm and ammunition at the Campden Park Port.

Kingstown: The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) officers collaborated with the Rapid Response Unit (RRU). This collaboration resulted in the seizure of illegal firearms and ammunition at the Campden Park Port.
According to the reports, the police received information about the illegal weapons at the Campden Park Cargo Port. They responded to the matter and arrived at the location.
Upon arrival, the RSVGPF ranks conducted a thorough search of the area, which resulted in the recovery of items such as,
- Police recovered a comprehensive assortment of ammunition, which is equal to 2,538 rounds, covering calibres such as .40mm, 9mm, .380, FN 5.7 x 28 mm and .22. ammunition
- One (1) .38 Special Revolver
- In addition, they found an extended magazine and a quality of fireworks
The recovered items were collected and taken to the police division. The investigating officers investigated the matter and urged the general public to come forward if they have any information and assist them in their enquiries.
Additionally, the RSVGPF officers extended their support and expressed their commitment to fighting against crimes in the country. The immediate response on the matter by the police officers showcased their unwavering dedication regarding the citizen’s security.
Moreover, the nationals are reminded about the ongoing Gun Amnesty programme, which started on March 1 and will run till May 31, 2024
National Firearm Amnesty (Gun Amnesty) Programme
The programme is executed by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, in collaboration with (RSVGPF). Under this programme, the people across the nation are encouraged to surrender any illegal weapon and ammunition to the police.
While doing so, they will not be punished, nor will they face any prosecution or any questions as the programme is launched under the motto of ‘no question asked’ and ‘no prosecution.’ The Gun Amnesty is being organised to keep the safety and security of the citizens of the country.
This initiative focused to improve the public social life by providing them a secure and safe environment to rely on.
