Antigua and Barbuda: Hämmerli-Weschke, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Antigua and Barbuda, paid a courtesy call to Minister Greene, on 28th June 2022 (Tuesday), after her presentation of credentials to the Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda.
During the courtesy call, Minister Greene welcomed Ambassador Hämmerli-Weschke and gave the assurances of the government’s full support for a successful tenure. Both parties engaged in bilateral discussions, namely, education, climate change and the European Union’s overview of CIP programmes.

She further noted in their discussions that multilateralism is being strengthened, but in order to overcome the current global challenges, it is important to have the input of small island developing states.
Ambassador Hämmerli-Weschke also paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Gaston Browne and was accompanied by her spouse and Consul for the Swiss Confederation in Antigua and Barbuda, Patricia Gyger.
