Guyana: President Dr Irfaan Ali concluded the massive outreach to Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) on April 11, 2022 (Monday), with a final stop in Albion.
The Cabinet outreach is a commitment of the President to embark on an “enormous and energetic” outreach campaign to connect with the grassroots and hear about ways in which the Government can better serve the people.
The entire cabinet, including Prime Minister, Brigadier (Retd), Mark Phillips and Vice President Dr Bharrat Jagdeo, conducted community meetings across the region.
Before stopping in Albion, President Ali held outreaches in Smythfield, New Amsterdam and Rose Hall, where he announced significant transformative plans for the region.
The Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Oneidge Walrond and the Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water, Susan Rodrigues, accompanied the Head of State on all three visits.
This afternoon, hundreds of citizens gathered at the Rose Hall Estate welfare ground to engage with President Irfaan Ali and his ministers.
President Ali is leading a massive outreach in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) with his entire cabinet, including Prime Minister, Brigadier (Retd), Mark Phillips and Vice President Dr Bharrat Jagdeo.
Members of the Cabinet are visiting a number of communities to provide an update on the Government’s transformative plans for the region and to address their concerns.
Before stopping in Rose Hall, President Ali held an outreach in Smythfield, New Amsterdam, where he announced the building of a new national stadium in the region.
