Georgetown, Guyana: The Labour Ministry and the Board of Industrial Training (BIT) of the Republic of Guyana have praised the newly certified Ronald Hollingside, a resident of Region Three. As per the update by the Ministry, he has been awarded by a certified electrician.

The update by the Ministry informed that Ronald Hollingside, a resident of Region Three, wanted to learn how to become a certified electrician. This led him to learn about the Board of Industrial Training and its programmes from a close friend who was also interested.

According to the update by the Labour Ministry, he told BIT officials that he has been working in the electrical industry without qualification for eight years and that this training opportunity will undoubtedly help jump-start his career in the right direction.

He stated that his road thus far has not been easy, but one that he has been able to conquer thanks to the advice of his programme trainer. “Despite having been in the electrical profession for some time, I was able to learn new things and refresh my previous knowledge through this course. I am extremely glad for the opportunity to better myself, which will essentially catapult my profession to a new level,” Hollingside said.

It added that to that end, he thanked the Board of Industrial Training for providing him with the opportunity to get certified, calling it a dream come true. As per the post, he expressed, “His hope is that other people will not only notice the fantastic job being done by the Board of Industrial Training but will also get engaged to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to become employable.”

It is not the first time BIT Guyana has provided certificates to residents who are doing great in their lives. Board of Industrial Training, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, has even certified hundreds of residents and citizens of Guyana.
