Guyana: Fire rages in Brickdam Police Station
Over 80% of the buildings of the compound have been destroyed due to the raging fire

Today in Guyana at Georgetown fire raged in Brickdam police station.
According to some reports, around 11:00 a.m., the fire started in the eastern building of the compound. The governor fire services reached the place on time and were successful in controlling the fire.
Over 80% of the buildings of the compound have been destroyed due to the raging fire.
Some of the officials said that they would have to make a report that would be noting down the laws of the vehicles some types of equipment that were at the spot. Now the department it would be e for the putting efforts to make the record again that was destroyed which includes the important files also those got lost during the scene.
A statement from the Department of Public Information (DPI) says Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn, the Commissioner of Police and the Divisional Commander informed that there had been no further casualties recorded because of the timely operation of the fire service teams at the spot.
Minister Benn said an estimation would be done to prepare the next steps in restoring the facility.
The minister expressed his satisfaction with the response by the Guyana Fire Service and the Police Ranks at the station.
