Guyana: 25-year-old man dies in hit and run accident
A 25-year-old Julius Goodluck, resident of 1607 Cadet Lane, South Ruimveldt Park, killed in a hit and run accident on Christmas night at Aubrey Barker Road, Georgetown, Guyana.

A 25-year-old Julius Goodluck, resident of 1607 Cadet Lane, South Ruimveldt Park, was killed in a hit and run accident on Christmas night at Aubrey Barker Road, Georgetown, Guyana.
Notably, the accident took place in front of Stain Masters Services and Products. The name of Goodluck friend is not known yet. But it was shared by the sources, that the deceased’s friend is currently lying in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
As per the information, the deceased and his friend were in scooter and were riding on Aubrey Road, when their vehicle collided with a speeding motor car. At the time of the accident, Goodluck’s friend was driving the scooter and he was the pillion rider.
The deceased flung off the vehicle and ended up underneath a motorcar. He received various injuries to his body, which also includes a broken spine. The rider also flung off the bike and onto the road surface and received multiple injuries.
Furthermore, Goodluck died because of the injuries he received and the rider had to go through the process of surgery at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
If sources are to be believed then it is said that the driver of the car struck down the men and rushed from the scene by using Kaikan Street without taking any assistance. He turned himself at the East La Penitence Police Station on 27 December 2023.
Moreover, one more crime occurred at Wakenaam, which lead to the death of 29-year-old. The Police officials are investigating an accident which took place at around 22:00 hrs at Maria’s Pleasure Public Road, Wakenaam Island.
The accident involved #CK 6068, driven by 29-year-old Rickey Boodram, resident of Maria’s Pleasure and another motorcycle driven by 57-year-old Martin Adams, resident of Labourer of Zeelandia, Wakenaam Island.
It is to be noted, the police officials were called to the scene and with the help of public-spirited citizens, both men were picked up and taken to the Wakenaam Cootage Hospital. the doctors on duty examined the men and announced Ricky Boordam as dead.
Martin Adams was transferred to West Demerara Regional Hospital, where the doctors on duty examined him and admitted him as a patient.
