Five cruise ships docked at the shores of Port Zante, Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis including the inaugural visit of Carnival Venezia. The frequent visit of vessels to the island nation marks the tiring efforts of the tourism ministry in elevating the sector to a greater height.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Five cruise ships docked at the shores of Port Zante, Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis including the inaugural visit of Carnival Venezia. The frequent visit of vessels to the island nation is due to the consistent efforts of the tourism ministry in elevating the sector to a greater height.
The Inaugural call of Carnival Venezia was welcomed with a plaque exchange ceremony that took place on board. Minister of Tourism, Marsha Henderson greeted the crew members and led a delegation of the officials from St Kitts Tourism Authority to the ceremony.
During the plaque exchange ceremony, Minister Marsha Henderson expressed her happiness about the inaugural visit of Carnival Venezia and focused on enhancing the relationship between St Kitts and Nevis and Carnival Cruise Line.
“We are very excited to welcome Carnival Venezia on this historic day in St. Kitts. This call to the shores outlines the commitment to providing numerous offerings to the travellers,” remarked Minister Marsha Henderson.
The other cruise ships that made their visit to the destination include Celebrity Beyond, Norwegian Sky, Valiant Lady and Emerald Sakara. Along with the visit of the cruises, the island nation also welcomed thousands of passengers which resulted in creating several employment opportunities for the local citizens.
The passengers stepping ashore were offered several activities and facilities which made their visit an experience filled with beautiful memories and fun.
The residents have lauded Minister Henderson for the same who is taking constant measures and steps to boost the tourism industry. Moreover, Minister Marsha Henderson shared her vision of taking the tourism industry of St Kitts and Nevis to accelerate to a new level.
The tourism sector of St Kitts and Nevis has witnessed immense growth following the hardships and challenges faced during the Covid-19 era. Tourism, being one of the crucial sectors of the country, plays a huge role in enhancing the economic conditions of the nation.
With the arrival of five cruise ships, the nation will likely see development in the economic sector which will further lead to growth and development of the island nation.
