Roseau, Dominica: The Ministry of Tourism of the Commonwealth of Dominica has recently shared information about the recently conducted site visit to Mero Beach by the Minister of Tourism – Denise Charles. The minister was accompanied by PS Lisa Valmond and Parliamentary Representative Darron Lloyd.
The Ministry of Tourism shared an update on May 03, 2023, and informed the general public of Dominica that last Wednesday, Denise Charles, Tourism Minister, and PS Lisa Valmond organized a site visit to Mero Beach with Darron Lloyd, Parliamentary Representative, community development groups, and Staff of Tourism as well as Discover Dominica Authority.
As per the update, the prime purpose of this meeting was to listen to the views, challenges, and improvement suggestions from the community level. Further engagement will involve proposing plans and a way forward.
The social media post read, “Building sustainable and community-based tourism in Dominica requires community engagement. Hence, the Ministry of Tourism is concentrating on forging connections with stakeholders, tourism organizations, and individuals working in the industry.”
“Tourism is our Business; let’s work together to improve the product!” highlighted the tourism ministry of Dominica through its official social media.
The update was also shared by the Tourism Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica – Denise Charles.
