Dominica set to host Hike Fest 2024, offers adventurous experience

Roseau, Dominica: The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association is all set to host Hike Fest 2024 which will take place from 4th May 2024 to 25th May 2024. The fest is being conducted under the theme “Nature is Calling.”

This theme focuses on inviting all the hikers, explorers and nature lovers to embrace the outdoors and embark on exciting adventures. 

The primary aim of the tourism authority behind hosting the fest is to promote and create a greater appreciation of the beautiful and magnificent attractions that the island nation has to offer.  

The hike fest is a celebration of Dominica’s beautiful natural landscapes and vibrant outdoor culture which attracts nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts and adventure seekers from all over the world. It is a great way of connecting the hikers with Dominica’s natural and unparalleled beauty as well as promoting its rich cultural heritage. 

The entire schedule for the Hike Fest 2024 includes, 

4th May 2024 – Segment 13 Penville to Capuchin (adults) | Cabrits to Capuchin (Teens) 

11th May 2024 – Jaco Flats – Maroon encampment of escaped slaves

18th May 2024 – Segment 5 (part), Pont Casse to Emerald Pool

25th May 2024 – Night Hike – Fresh Water Lake Loop Hike 

Interested individuals can get themselves registered by contacting the DHTA office call or by messaging them at their WhatsApp number: 1 767 275-7454 or by emailing at admin@dominicahta.org.

In order to get themselves registered; the interested participants will have to pay certain amounts. The amount varies depending upon the number of hikes participated by the individual. 

• The cost of the one hike is ECD$60.
• The cost of two hikes is ECD$100.
• The cost of three hikes is ECD$150.
• The cost of four hikes is ECD$200.

Moreover, the participants will also be provided with food and drinks which will be available for sale after each hike. The cost of the food and drinks is not included in the cost of the hike. The hikers will also be accompanied by certified tour guides, medical personnel and police escorts ensuring the safety and security of the citizens. The payment can be done through cash, cheque as well as online mode.
