Dominica PM Skerrit expresses condolence on passing of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa
Dominica: Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit has expressed deepest condolence on the passing of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan.

Dominica: Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit has expressed deepest condolence on the passing of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan.
He remembered him as a great friend of Dominica and praised his guidance which helped the people of his country to grow.
PM Skerrit took social media to express sadness and stated, “I am saddened to learn of the passing of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).”
“He was a transformational and visionary leader who guided his people and country to growth and prosperity; and a true friend of Dominica,” he added.
Prime Minister further expressed condolences to the royal family and the residents of the country.
He stated, “I express heartfelt condolences to the royal family and to the people of the UAE. May his soul rest in peace.”
Sheikh Khalifa bin Al Nahyan, who served UAE as President and was the ruler of Abu Dhabi, took his last breath on May 13, 2022 (Friday), after fighting a disease for several years.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced the demise of the ruler of Abu Dhabi.
A statement read, “The Ministry of Presidential Affairs expresses condolence to the people of the UAE, the Arab and Islamic nation and the world over the demise of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE.”
He was elected as the President and ruler in the year 2004 after he succeeded his father. After becoming President, Sheikh Khalifa has presided over a major restructuring of both the Federal Government and the government of Abu Dhabi.
He was born in 1948. Sheikh Khalifa was the second President of the UAE and the 16th Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
