Dianna John set to contest for Miss Wob Dwiyet 2023
Commonwealth of Dominica Division of Culture introduced Dianna John as the contestant for Miss Wob Dwiyet 2023.

Roseau, Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica Division of Culture recently announced one of the contestants who will participate in the Miss Wob Dwiyet 2023. The Division introduced Dianna John as the first contestant of the cultural event.
The Cultural Division of Dominica took to its official social media platform to introduce the contestant to the general public of the Caribbean nation. The update was shared by the Division on September 25, 2023 (Monday).
While introducing her, the Division noted, “Meet the remarkable Dianna John, an 18-year-old graduate of Academix School of Learning, who earned her associate degree in Law this past July.”
The social media update furthermore informed the world about the life and career background of contestant number 1 of Miss Wob Dwiyet 2023.
According to the Culture Division, from a young age, Dianna has nurtured a profound passion for music, community service, and cultural involvement. She has a rich history of participation, having been a part of the Paix-bouche cultural group and the Catholic Children’s Club.
Currently, she lends her voice and talents to the Sixth Form Sisserou Singers and Diocesan Youth Choir. Dianna is also a Student Ambassador for U-Report OECS and the Co-founder and Leader of the dynamic Danseurs Gwatence (Portsmouth Dancers); it informed the general audience.
In addition to this, the Commonwealth of Dominica Culture Division stated about her hobbies and the activities she loves to do in her free time. “In her spare time, she finds joy in singing, content creation, and playing the violin,” it noted.
According to the information provided through social media, Dianna’s long-term aspiration is to become an entrepreneur with a specialisation in social media marketing. As she prepares for university, she plans to actively engage with various community groups and embark on internships in social media and digital marketing.
“With a heart full of passion and a future full of promise, Dianna John is ready to conquer the world of pageantry and beyond,” the Division outlined while concluding the post.
Along with this, it also attached some photographs of John, which were shot at the Indian River, Portsmouth. Accordingly, during the photo shoot, she was wearing makeup by Sheriff Newton of Chic Barbie Dolls. And accessories like handbags and clutches were given by Tres Chic Treschic Dominica.
National Miss Wob Dwiyet 2023:
September 1, 2023, was selected as the deadline for registration in the beauty pageant. Some of the basic rules and regulations were also announced by the authorities, which are as follows:
– The applicant must have no criminal record or is the subject of pending criminal proceedings.
– The applicant is eighteen (18) years minimum and twenty-five (25) years maximum.
– The applicant is not married.
Miss Wob Dwiyet 2022:
In 2022, nineteen-year-old Nickese Morancie won the title of Miss Wob Dwiyet. Through this victory, she made history for her community of Dublanc.
Last year, the show was concluded on October 26 at the Old Mill Cultural Centre. During the finale, Morancie outperformed and left behind the other four contestants. Notably, Miss Wob Dwiyet was an employee at Optipharm Eye Centre.
She greeted the audience through media, following her win, and thanked all her supporters and well-wishers. Morancie stated that she felt so good that she brought the crown to her home in Dublanc. “We have been trying for years, always placing first, so I just knew… to bring the crown home,” she told the news organisation during the interaction.
She added, “I feel very elated and excited as well as just proud of myself and my team and everyone who is here supporting me right now as well as everyone who put in the hard work.”
