Caribbean leaders greet citizens as Holiday Season begins

The Holiday Season is in full flow as people in the Caribbean prepare to celebrate with their loved ones. To begin the festive season on a positive note, Caribbean leaders have taken to social media platforms, especially Facebook, to reach out to their citizens and wish them well.
Prime Minister Terrance Drew of St Kitts and Nevis, left a delightful message for his citizens on his official Facebook page. In the message, he said, “Wishing you a joyous Christmas season filled with warmth and goodwill. May this festive season inspire us all to embrace sustainability, just as our island state strives to lead by example. Together let’s work towards a greener and brighter future for St Kitts and Nevis.”
Trinidad and Tobago’s Leader of Opposition, Kamla Persad Bissessar also took to Facebook to greet citizens. She wished Trinidadians a Merry Christmas while asking them to open their hearts to the less fortunate and make an attempt to bring joy to their lives during the holiday season.
Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre, posted on Facebook in an attempt to wish St Lucians a Merry Christmas, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, posted a video message on his official Facebook account, congratulating citizens for all the achievements the nations laid claim to in 2023. He also thanked his constituents, who have supported him and enabled him to serve his nation and people.
Ernest Hilaire highlighted employment programmes and other initiatives that helped better the lives of Saint Lucians. He also promised to promote sports for the development of the nation’s youth. Hilaire promised to continue his work for the benefit of his constituents and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season.
Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell of Grenada, wished the nation a happy and peaceful Christmas from the government and his family through a video message posted on his official Facebook page. He reminded the people of Grenada that Christmas is a time for gratitude and reflection.
He also asked people to foster a spirit of unity and goodwill, while remembering to express love and appreciation despite the many challenges we all face.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne of Antigua and Barbuda also wished the citizens of his nation via a Facebook post. He wished everyone a Merry Christmas and abundant blessings of peace and love for the Yuletide season and every success in 2024.
