Barbados: Health officials are going to investigate the death of an elderly Barbadian man. The death is suspected to be linked with lethal coronavirus.
Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, Health & Wellness Minister, declared that “it was with a sense of grief that I inform you that this nation has recorded the death of Barbadian whose passing is being examined by health authorities as possibly related to COVID-19. This is a significant concern because if he were found to be coronavirus positive, then the people who came in contact with him would get infected.
Health officials of Barbados are investing the death of the 84-year-old gentleman who had a long medical history of lung disease and chronic non-communicable diseases. The medical staff gave medical history after proper evaluation. Reports say that “Exercising an abundance of caution and thoroughness, medical staff at the QEH took blood samples for COVID-19 and the results of those tests now show that the patient was positive for COVID-19.”
Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, despite, revealed, “I wish to caution the public that at this stage, we can only say that the death may be coronavirus related as the specific cause of death whether from COVID-19 or difficulties from his other ailments could not be determined until the finish of a postmortem. Please let me reassure the public that every precaution is being taken and all approved safety rules are being followed.”
Rae Charles commented, “The reason they have to do this before they get facts is that Bajans are so malicious, the nurse will send a broadcast voice note saying he died of COVID-19 and conspiracy will start, and the government will be blamed for the trying to cover it up.”
Jakki Wilson commented, “So bottom line.. he had COVID-19. In addition to other health issues. Bigger picture. He went to QEH. The government needs to try and do contact tracing ASAP.”
